Bloomberg, the prestigious business publication, today reported that The Glen has been the 7th fastest growing high-income neighborhood in America since 2000. The Glen, on the grounds of the former Glenview Naval Air Station, is a wonderful retail and residential development in the Chicagonorth shore village of Glenview. It is also my home. I purchased a home here in the early days of the development back in 2003. Here is a link to the Bloomberg article, and if you are interested in living in The Glen please let me know.
The Glen is a luxury residential and retail development in Chicago’s North Shore community of Glenview. There are nine distinct private neighborhoods in The Glen. Today, I want to tell you about Regency at the Glen. This beautiful neighborhood is composed of 104 luxury townhomes, 38 ranch villas, and 2 single family homes.
Four dramatic two – three story townhome models are offered with 9’ ceilings, private decks, two or three bedrooms and 1523 to 1835 square feet.
There are two spectacular villa models offering one or two stories, two or three bedrooms, 9’ ceilings, granite counter tops, and 1883 – 2493 square feet.
Professional landscaping and attached garages are offered with each home. The Regency neighborhood is only a few blocks from two magnificent golf courses. The Glen Club offers an 18-hole championship course designed by Tom Fazio. The Glenview Prairie Club is a 9-hole course; and it also offers paddle tennis which adjoins its new club house.
Regency is a short walk to Glen Town Center’s many shops, boutiques, restaurants, and Arclight movie theater. The Glen’s Metra station, with service to downtown Chicago, is but a three-minute drive or a 15-minute walk.
There are several lovely homes currently for sale in Regency. Prices range from the $400s to $600s. To learn more, please give me a call at 847-401-1802. I am an award-winning Realtor and long time Glen resident.

It’s not true. At least not in The Glen. If you’re like me you’ve seen countless articles about how few homes are listed for sale. Housing inventory, they say, can’t meet demand. Well, here in The Glen we have plenty of great homes for sale.
That’s not to say there isn’t demand. Home buyers love The Glen as do those of us who are fortunate to live here. The Glen, in Glenview Illinois, is a very popular place to live, work and play. We have single family homes, townhomes, row homes, duplexes, and condos. Home prices range from the high $300’s to over $1 million. So whatever home style or price you may be looking for we probably have some homes on the market right now that you would love.
Glenview is a close-in suburb of Chicago. It is its own North Shore village, but taking the train from The Glen’s Metra station will get you downtown in 30 – 45 minutes depending on time of day. So, living in The Glen gives you the best of both worlds…Chicago’s buzz…and suburban space and great schools.
Life in The Glen is a bit like living in the city. We have our own downtown called Glen Town Center with shops, restaurants and a movie theater. You can walk to them from most any home in The Glen. Yet we also have two golf courses, Gallery Park with walking and biking trails, Lake Glenview for fishing, a fitness center and playgrounds galore.
So, if this is the kind of lifestyle you’re looking for, give me a call. I’m an award-winning Realtor who lives in and loves The Glen.

Unless you live in a very small town, odds are that you need to drive to most everything. Contrast that with the convenience of The Glen in Glenview Illinois where residents can walk to shopping, dining, recreation, entertainment, public transportation and even medical care.
Glen Town Center, walkable from any home in The Glen, is The Glen’s “main street” filled with restaurants, ice cream parlors, coffee shops, a book store, Arclight Movie Theater and tons of shopping in stores large and small.
But that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Consider this. Folks lucky enough to live in The Glen can also walk to two golf courses. Two! And to Gallery Park’s jogging trails, tennis courts and fishing in Lake Glenview. Take the kids to Kohl Children’s Museum or Funtopia or to The Book Market’s Puppet Theater and Story Time.
Walk to Park Center, our local fitness facility that also offers basketball courts, pre-school and summer camps. We have an award-winning middle school here in The Glen, too. And in summer time residents walk to our several festivals and to our weekly summer outdoor concerts. If you want to go to Chicago‘s many attractions (or to work) just stroll over to our Metra train station.
The Glen also has many doctors, dentists and even a fully functioning health clinic.
Does all of this sound too good to be true? Well, unless you live here it probably does. If you are interested in living in The Glen please give me a call. I am a long time Glen homeowner and a Realtor selling Glen homes.

I sell a lot of homes in The Glen and throughout Glenview, but I don’t usually blog about a particular home that’s listed for sale. Today I’m making an exception because it is such a stunning home in the best possible Glen location.
1916 Patriot Blvd is a four story brick townhome of Georgian architecture in the very popular Tower Crossing development. It has 3 bedrooms and 3.1 baths along with a beautiful kitchen with pantry and large master bedroom suite. Whoever the fortunate buyers will be they’ll enjoy having a deck for grilling AND especially a roof top deck for parties or relaxing.
What makes this home so special is that it has gorgeous views of Gallery Park and Lake Glenview, and it is but a few steps to Glen Town Center‘s many restaurants, upscale shops and movie theater. It’s a lot like city living, but it’s in the lovely, close-in suburban village of Glenview. You can even walk to the train that gets to downtown Chicago in about 40 minutes.
There are two terrific golf courses nearby as well as walking trails and tennis courts. The Glen has it all, and this home does, too. It is priced at $699,900. If you would like more information about 1916 Patriot, please contact me. I live in The Glen and focus much of my real estate practice here.
